We often get questions about determining the age of a major appliance (fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer, etc.).  If your appliance was build after the 1970’s and 80’s then there may be an easy way to determine how old it is.  Simply get your serial number and model then go to the Appliance411 website (http://www.appliance411.com/service/date-code.php).  You will see a form at the bottom of the page that looks like this:

Enter your model number and serial number and, if the information is available, you will learn when your appliance was built.
